Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lost her mind on Tuesday after Republican Rep. Liz Cheney correctly noted the horrors of the Holocaust and how nothing is comparable to that.
As noted by ILMF, Ocasio-Cortez falsely claimed that President Donald Trump’s administration is operating “concentration camps” on the southern border.
During an Instagram live video session on Monday night, the New York socialist also compared these “concentration camps” for migrants to the Holocaust.
Cheney took to Twitter on Tuesday to blast Ocasio-Cortez for her false and utterly ridiculous comments.
“Please @AOC do us all a favor and spend just a few minutes learning some actual history,” Cheney tweeted to Ocasio-Cortez. “6 million Jews were exterminated in the Holocaust. You demean their memory and disgrace yourself with comments like this.”

Ocasio-Cortez responded: “Also @Liz_Cheney, the fact that you employed the horrifying word ‘exterminated’ here (co-opting the language of the oppressor) tells us that it’s *you* that needs to brush up on your reading. Hope you enjoy defending concentration camps. I won’t back down fighting against them.”

While speaking with reporters outside of her office on Capitol Hill, a nervous-looking Ocasio-Cortez was asked about her comments.
Rather than offer an apology, she doubled down.
“She used the term ‘extermination’ which is co-opting the language, eh, of that. You know, that term implies that the people who died in the Holocaust, it, it doubles down on the rhetoric that justified it,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
She added: “So, I think it’s, uh, I mean I think she’s the one that needs to do her homework.”

As Cheney and many others have pointed out, Ocasio-Cortez’s claim is completely false and utterly disgusting.
Migrants being detained by U.S. officials for illegally entering the country is in no way comparable to the horrors and atrocities that took place during the Holocaust, which resulted in millions of innocent Jews and others being murdered.
“The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border and that is exactly what they are,” Ocasio-Cortez alleged. “They are concentration camps. And, um, if that doesn’t bother you, I don’t, I don’t know, I like, we can have, okay whatever.”
Ocasio-Cortez then mentioned the Holocaust by saying “Never Again,” a phrase that is often used when referring to the Holocaust.
“I want to talk to the people that are concerned enough with humanity to say that we should not that ‘Never Again’ means something and that the fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the home of the free is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it. This week, children, immigrant children were moved to the same internment camps where the Japanese were held in, in the early, in the earlier 20th century and this is, um, this is not even about a crisis for, this is not just about the immigrant communities being held in concentration camps being a crisis.”

She’s referring to the Trump administration sending some detained migrant children to Fort Sill Army Base, which was temporarily used decades ago as a Japanese internment camp during World War II.
However, it is the same base that former President Barack Obama sent migrant kids to and for the same reasons.
When Trump sends migrant there — liberals compare it to the Holocaust and demanded Trump be impeached.
When Obama sent migrants to the exact same facility — no one batted an eye or said a word.
